Gulika kalam is acceptable for auspicious activities but strictly avoids very bad for doing inauspicious activities such as death rites etc. Any activities done in gulikai would happen over and over again and so it is better to avoid inauspicious activities during Gulikai. Gulika kalam means that it is the muhurtham time of Gulikan, who is the son of Saturn. So, this period was ruled over by Saturn. During Gulika Kaalam, Auspicious ceremonies like marriage or funerals are strictly avoided.This time has to be avoided for travel and medical treatments.
People should follow daily Shubha Muhurtham, Rahu Kalam, Nalla Neram, and Yamagandam , Gulika before planning auspicious which include buying a new vehicle, Graha pravesham, Pooja anushtham, marriage muhurtham, and many other things. Although every moment, it is not possible to consult an astrologer, the easiest way is to check daily Shubha Muhurtham using daily Panchangam.
